We firmly believe in the strength of community and the vital role of collaboration in reaching our goals. At the Congolese Community of Worcester County, we dedicate ourselves to empowering individuals and communities to inspire meaningful and lasting change. Join us to can make a difference!

In May 2019, Congolese living in Worcester, MA, identified the need to establish a Congolese organization that would unite Congolese residents in Worcester County. This initiative is known as the Congolese Community of Worcester County (CCWC). It serves as a pathway to promote economic, social, and financial development among Congolese living in Worcester County. After the COVID-19 pandemic, CCWC resumed its activities in 2021. Currently, CCWC is striving to support several Congolese families. It participates in various cultural activities within the city and assists Congolese newcomers in navigating American society. CCWC is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization. The strength of this organization is reflected in its members' commitment to apply and uphold the organization's policies, core values, and various divisions.
CCWC emphasizes financial transparency among its members and the public. It is founded on unity, mutual aid, and development. Across the diverse departments, the women's committee in CCWC has demonstrated a commitment to the organization for years through its projects and activities. Additionally, CCWC focused on the well-being of Congolese immigrants who arrived as refugees who faced sexual violence, war, and torture. CCWC recognizes that many nonprofits serve immigrants in MA, but it is the only one founded by and for Congolese immigrants of Worcester County. CCWC offers opportunities for Congolese of all ages to participate in diverse activities, including children's activities, women's meetings, and youth conferences. Currently, CCWC is working to establish an educational program for children, exhibitions of traditional Congolese arts, and services that promote women's well-being. Congolese people living in Massachusetts, considering the experiences of the past and in order to build a strong Congolese community, develop it, insure its perfect integration in the American society, promote general welfare of Congolese, create a framework of mutual aid, promote positive links between Congolese and American societies, do ordain and establish these bylaws for the Congolese Community of Worcester County, neighboring communities and town. CCWC is a nonprofit organization incorporated under the laws of the State of Massachusetts.

Congolese Community of Worcester County, CCWC in abbreviation is formed to bring together Congolese people living in the county of Worcester, neighboring communities and townaround the State of Massachusetts, United States of America.
Note: Congolese here means from the Democratic Republic of Congo
CCWC membership is open to all Congolese people living in the County of Worcester, neighboring communities and town around Massachusetts.
CCWC has three categories of membership
All Congolese people living in the County of Worcester, neighboring communities and town around Massachusetts are free to become member of CCWC
All Congolese people living in the County of Worcester, neighboring communities and town around Massachusetts registered with CCWC and in order with their obligations
All other persons living in County of Worcester , neighboring communities and town around Massachusetts willing to help the CCWC achieve its purposes
